My oms rank is 273. Is there any chances to get ils pune??

Coming straight to the point, with an OMS Rank of 273, it’s unlikely that you may get ILS Pune.

Reasons are quite simple –

• You don’t have a Maharashtra domicile and belong to other state.
• Therefore, you’ll be considered under the General Category.
• There are 272 more candidates ahead of you, of which some would also wish to have the ILS Pune seat.
• Now the law school offers a total of 240 seats under BA LLB programme and 120 under the LLB.
• Taking out 50 per cent of these seats for the reserved and Maharashtra state General Category candidates, it comes down to 120 and 60 seats in BA LLB an LLB, respectively.

Therefore, there will be other candidates too competing against you for grabbing the one seat.

However, there are chances, yet very small. How?

• If there are very less contenders for the ILS Pune seat.
• If only 119 candidates for BA LLB programme (in case, you are sitting for five-year LLB programme) or 59 candidates (in case, you are sitting for LLB programme) ahead of you take the seats and you’re the next.

Otherwise, it’s not possible for the ILS Pune seat.

Having said all these, I would still ask you to be optimistic as there are other law schools too, which you may get at this rank.
