My rank in vit is 18159, are there any different fee slabs for getting into cse. Can I get eee with this rank in category 1
hey
your rank is pretty good.you can easily get into eee at the first category. You will get cse in the 3rd or 4th category. Any branch is as good as your interest or passion towards it. If you're just in it for a degree I suggest you take a different discipline than EEE because its has a very steep learning curve.
When it comes to VIT, opportunities are endless. Projects, research papers, internships everywhere you'll get countless opportunities.
There's a lot of cutting edge research going on at VIT. I've met some of the most talented and prudent professors in VIT though there are a few who would make you pull out your hair like every other college across the globe.
To sum it up, EEE is a vast field which is going to be a very sought after branch in coming years due to the integration of power systems with the web, smart grids, IoT, energy crisis and nanotechnology. At VIT you get to experience all these at the basic level so you could choose your field of interest.
Regarding placements there are a lot of core companies who have a tie up with the SELECT (School of Electrical Engineering) and have set up research labs at VIT (Schneider Electric and Danfoss to name a few). A lot of other companies too come for placements apart from the IT. If you have a penchant for Electrical or Electronics you won't be wrong in choosing EEE at VIT.
