My son belongs to Andhra pradesh. Is he is eligible for Telangana UG NEET 2018 admissions as a non local candidate under category A quota

If you fulfil the below-mentioned criteria then you will be considered a domicile of AP/Telangana state-

• Local candidate as defined in the Presidential order.

• The candidate or either of the candidate’s parents’ resided in the state for a total of ten years excluding the period where the candidate has studied outside the state or the parents have stayed outside the state.

• The candidates whose either of the parent is in the employment of the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporation Local Bodies, Universities and other similar Public Institution within the state of Andhra Pradesh.

This will make you eligible for 15% unreserved seats available for local and non-local candidates of both the states.

The eligibility criteria for state-wide colleges namely Siddhartha Medical College, Government Dental College, Vijayawada and Hyderabad is different. The non-local candidates will be eligible for the 15% unreserved seats and the 85% seats will be divided in the ratio 42:36:22 for candidates belonging to Andhra University, Osmania University and Sri Venkateshwara University areas respectively.
