Coming to your question, I would like to tell you that to practice as a surgeon in India, it will be necessary for you to have a Master of Surgery (MS) degree. You can only pursue MS degree if you qualify NEET PG. To be eligible for NEET PG you need to have an MBBS qualification. Now to join a MBBS course you need to clear NEET UG. So if you appear for NEET 2018 and clear the same, the earliest you will be able to practice as a surgeon will be 2026. So your journey towards becoming a surgeon will start with NEET UG.
