To get admission into nit and iiit only Jee mains is sufficient. Jee Advanced is only for iits. And based on JEE Mains you have many other options even in private engineering colleges. Even for IIST admissions are based only on mains rank. So you can start your preparation for JEE Mains and don't worry.
