With 87 percentile (OBC) admission to IITs is not possible, the reason being that JEE Advanced requires a higher rank. Admission to top and mid-tier NITs is also unlikely. With your percentile, you might have a chance of getting admission in new NITS that also in not very popular branches such as Civil , Chemica l, and Textile engineering . You do have some chances in gaining admission to some of the GFTIS.

Here is what you can do. Wait for special rounds, as seats often go empty. You can apply for state government colleges; this also happens to be the best option for you at that percentile.
