Please tell me about Jossa registration to take IIT ,NIT...etc

The admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. For IITs JEE Advanced score is taken into consideration while for other institutes, JEE Mains. You have to register in the JoSAA website for seat allotment. The procedure starts by second week of June.

You have to register at the website by giving contact details, gender, nationality etc. After you can fill your choices that is college and courses based on preference, and then lock it. The admission is based on rank list prepared by the Authority. There is Common Rank List as well as category-wise rank list except for General category. There will be opening and closing ranks for each course at every college.

There will be mock as well as real seat allotment. With the mock you can get a chance to know where you may get admission. And during the allotment, you can select choices of "float", "freeze" and "slide" for the seat.
