sir I got 40 marks in jee mains(st)and my rank is 8900(category rank),my Ts board percentage is 78. Can I get seat in LPU university??

You are eligible as per 12th result, but I doubt if 40 marks translate into 80%ile plus score.

You need to write LPUNEST for getting through, as LPU doesn't take such low scores, being in top ranks by NIRF, ATAL as well as Outlook !

I am little doubtful on the score as this score may not help you to get the seat but you may appear in LPUNEST to get the admission in your desired programme.

The eligibility is  60% in 10+2 with (English , Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPUNEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPUNEST.

Considering your score, you are eligible but you need to appear in LPUNEST which serves two purposes i.e eligibility and scholarship.

The University is conducting remotely proctored online LPUNEST from home since month of May and will also continue same in July as well.

1.On the basis of marks in previous class
2.LPU conducts Lovely professional university national entrance and scholarship test (LPUNEST) on the basis of which student can enhance their scholarship
3.Some national level tests like JEE mains, NATA, NEET, UCEED, CAT, XAT, MAT , CMAT, NMAT, GPAT, GATE etc.
4.Performance on the basis of sports, cultural or co-curricular activities.

6.For Orphan students or person with certain disabilities
7.Defence personnels and central armed police forces(CAPF) dependents
8.LPU has also floated COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship for the survivors of COVID and for their dependents as well.
# From the above mentioned scholarships, candidate will get one that too which will be maximum one.
I will advice you to plan the admission at the earliest or maximum by 15-7-2020 and then apply for LPUNEST for eligibility and scholarship.

you require a minimum 80  percentile in JEE mains along with more than 60 % in your board results to apply directly in LPU i.e exemption in LPUNEST.However if you do not qualify JEE mains with minimum 80 percentile then you will have to appear for LPUNEST for both eligibility and scholarship purpose.
