Sir is there any option for general category student to get MBBS seat in all Indiaquota (15)or in state quota(85) for 424 marks
- The NEET cut off varies from year to year, state to state and as well as college to college. It also depends on the Quota you are applying through as well as the Category of Admission. Government and Private Colleges have cut-offs of their own.
- Assuming you are applying through the 15% All India Quota under General Category for a Government Medical College, the cut-off for NEET 2017 was Rank 5579 which corresponds to a score of approximately 520 marks out of 720.
- This year, as competition gets tougher every year, you must get a score above 540 to ensure a seat in a good Government Medical College.
- With 424 marks, a medical seat through all India Quota is not possible. You can apply for State Quota but chances seem bleak. It depends on the competition prevailing in your state too. Ultimately, your percentile will determine your chance.
