There are Many Students Who appear for the exam, But at the same time they appear for the other exams such as JEE MAIN and BITSAT, so they got a seat in those colleges Despite having good rank in VIT exam because they Prefer those Colleges over BIT and Hence You see a closing rank of 15000+.
