Hello aspirant, the eligibility criteria for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) depends on various parameters.

Nationality
Candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

Academic Qualification
1) You must have passed class 12.
2) Some prerequisites for giving this entrance exam are that you must have studied the following subjects in 12th class:
• Physics
• Mathematics
• English
• Any one of them- Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer.
3) If you are waiting for your class 12 results, you are eligible to apply for this exam.
4) Candidates from Karnataka State Open University are not eligible

Marks required in the qualifying examination
The candidate must have secured minimum 45% aggregate marks in 3 subjects ( for General category). Whereas for SC/ ST/ OBC category, they will get a relaxation of 5% in this aggregate score.

Domicile
1) Candidate must have studied from a recognised state Institution in Karnataka. The minimum period of academic study in the state must be 7 years between class 1st and 12th.
2) Candidate must have passed either SSLC/ Class 10 or 2nd PUC/ Class 12 from Karnataka.
3) Even if you have taken more than a year to clear a particular class, it will be counted as one.

There are more specific eligibility criterias for:
1) Ward of Defence Personnel
2) Migrant Candidates of Jammu and Kashmir
3) Mother Tongue of Candidates
4) Ward of State or Central Government employees
5) Wards of Members of Parliament.
