Comprehensive Guide: IIT's | NIT's | IIIT's | Foreign Universities in India
Hello Dear Student,
With 55 marks and 69.48 percentile in PPMET , admission to the top government nursing colleges in Punjab is likely to be difficult, but you have a reasonable chance in several private and semi-government institutes around Bathinda, Faridkot, and Abohar.
Some colleges you can consider are:
- Adesh University – B.Sc. Nursing with good clinical exposure through its attached hospital.
- Baba Farid University of Health Sciences – Government seats are highly competitive, but monitor counselling rounds for any vacancy seats.
- Dasmesh College of Nursing – Popular choice in the region for nursing education.
- Mai Bhago College of Nursing – Worth considering if you're open to locations beyond Faridkot and Bathinda.
- Shri Guru Ram Das College of Nursing – Has participated in BFUHS counselling admissions.
- GGS College of Nursing – A local option to explore during counselling.
Admission Outlook
- Government B.Sc. Nursing seats: Low chance at this percentile.
- Private nursing colleges: Good chance.
- Management quota seats: Very good chance in most private institutes.
Hope it helps!
Hello Dear Student,
If PESU JEE Round 1 called candidates up to rank 5,600 , then the Round 2 call is usually extended only if seats are vacated or surrendered after Round 1 . There is no fixed cutoff, but based on past counselling patterns, the next round often extends by 1,000–3,000 ranks depending on seat availability.
So a reasonable estimate would be:
| Round | Expected Rank Called |
|---|---|
| Round 1 | Up to 5,600 |
| Round 2 | Around 6,500–8,500 (approx.) |
If a large number of students leave for KCET, JEE Main, BITS, NITs, etc., the call may go even higher. If seat surrender is low, it may stop much closer to 5,600.
Hope it helps!
