Hello! First of all, every DU college doesn't provide you hostel facilities. Even the colleges which provide you with that, have limited seats. So, it is true that only few applicants get the hostel facilities. The allotment of seats depends on your merit or the marks scored in class 12 or semesters. Coming to the facilities provided in the hostel, they aren't up to the mark. You would have heard of DRC's hostel issue currently. Not just DRC students but the condition is the same in almost all hostels. The food isn't hygienic, premises aren't clean, and a lot more. (Just the hostel of SRCC is well and good).

Yes many colleges of Delhi University provides hostel facility to their students but the seats available are very limited and not every outstation student of the college gets seat in the Hostels of the Colleges.
