What are expected marks at 79.48 percentile

Hi dear,

You can't calculate your marks with the help of percentile because percentile indicates that how many students are ahead or behind with you. you have got 79.48 percentile that means you are ahead with 79.48 percent students appear in the exam,if anybody get 100 percentile that doesn't mean that he got full marks but he got maximum marks among all students appear in the exam it may be 50 percent of full marks or may be 100 percent.

you cannot calculate marks on the basis of percentile. Percentile is based upon total number of students appearing for the exam. As the number of students change the percentiles changes. For example if there are 100 students giving an exam and your percentile in the exam is 99, this means that you are ahead of 98 students and 1 student is ahead of you.

You can find out ranks with the help of percentile but not marks.
