What are the minimum marks in neet to get a good govt. College......and what are the strategies that can help me
hi saksham, it all depends on what category you belong to and what reservation you have, whether you have state quota or not , but i would suggest that aim for 580 plus, its high , i know but absolutely doable , so aim for it.i shall tell you the ideal way to prepare for NEET
Physics and chemistry- physics is considered one of the toughest subject for medical aspirants, but very interesting. choose any good book of your convinience, there are plenty of good books as many mentioned already. read the concepts thoroughly, understand them cover to cover, if you have doubts, clear them then and there. solve atleast 300 to 500 questions per chapter, check ,analyse and rectify your mistakes. solve again. the more you solve the merrier.initially you wont be getting many correct answers, but as you keep on doing am sure you will see your score rising. solve previous question papers too
Biology- in neet around 300 marks are from ncert text book itself, thats how it was when i gave my exam, so u need to thorough ncert first and then read any good book of your choice and solve as many questions as you can, always stay calm , cool and confident, hope this helps good luck buddy
Hi.. As per your query about marks cutoff.. I would like to tell you it varies very year... It depends on lots of factors like difficulty level of paper and number of students getting that mark etc... It also depends on.. It will be different for Government, Private and Deemed medical colleges.... Also it will differ you applying from All india quota 15% or State quota 85%... Cut off of state quota is usually lower than all india quota.... Now in each of these quota its further divided into categories like OPEN/SC/ST/OBC..... Etc..
Overall for genral category if you want to know if you are on the safer side or not, try scoring 550+.
Some strategies that you should inherit to boost your performance
1. Make you own time table ,other than that of coaching - Shorter and achievable small targets
2. Focus on limited books - NCERT + Some reference (Allen Modules in your case)
3. Solve MCQS daily in a time limit - Understand where you are doing most mistakes, Correct it, retry
4. Understand all options of previous year MCQS ...As EXACT question is not repeated BUT related questions are....
5. Have patience and be positive
6. POSITIVE SURROUDING - Discuss with friends who can help you stay positive not the one who brings negativity
7. Maintain your health
Above points will definitely help you

Always happy to help.
This year a candidate of OPEN CATEGORY had to score above 560 marks to get a seat in some government medical college through All India 15 % quota. The cut off scores can shoot up higher than this the next year or can step down on the score board. Things will become clear after the NEET-UG 2018 is conducted.
As far as the preparation strategies are concerned, here are some points worth making a note of :
1) CONSISTENCY - preparing for any entrance examination is not an overnight task. It needs proper planning and more importantly proper execution.
Working like a bull one day and like a slug the next day might not fetch effective results.
2)GET YOUR DOUBTS CLARIFIED - you might have joined some coaching institution to help you aid your preparation. Make the most of it. Take guidance from your mentors and get your concepts on point.
3) MAINTAIN AN OPTIMISTIC APPROACH - believe in the fact that whatever you are doing today will help you achieve what you want at a later stage.
Hope this helps
