What are your experiences about college life at LPU. Are the hostel well maintained ???

The hostels of LPU are most comfortable and damn strict. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the students. LPU residential facilities are as state of the art as the campus is. There is a round-the-clock vigil through security cameras and there is a huge army of security personnel deployed all over the university.

LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week.  The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box Bed, Study Table, Chair, and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having a maximum load of up to 5 amperes per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette.

There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There are 24 hr. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available.

There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall, and Tuck Shops.

From ala carte to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani, and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea are served at breakfast. At lunch, Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati, and Raita are served. In dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts are served.

The campus is ragging-free, drug-free, and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can complain. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest.

The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girl's hostel. The campus is ragging-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free so there is no need to fear. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels.

Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents have to get a GATE pass to enter the university premises. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against those who indulge in indiscipline. This is the reason why we don't come across any untoward incidents.

I can share with you my sister experience who passed out last year only. Whenever I asked her to sum up in one word your hostel life she simply smiles and says *Joyful*

She discussed with me she had the privilege to do birthday parties within hostels, doing her personal naughty stuff like knocking unknown girls rooms doors and then run away from their,late-night Gupshup, chitchat they all used to do, play their favourite sports in hostel grounds, enjoying their favourite meals, snacks in the canteen as well; apart from hostel mess, go for outings after the consent of wardens and parents, without any tension roam around corridors, for fitness go for indoor stadium gym as per timing, enjoy their Sundays by doing shopping even in university mall itself, attending live concerts of famous singers like B parak etc, live film promotions by actors like Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Sharukh Khan etc and her list was so long which reflects that life at LPU is colourful and joyful.

I wish each student experience once such kind of memorable and happy moments which only hostel life can give.

Facilities at hostels:

1.Separate residential facility for boys and girls within the campus

2. Rooms with attached washroom, bed (without mattress), table, chair and almirahs except in certain dormitory rooms.

3. Air cooler / Air Conditioner (with attached washroom) facility in each room (as opted)

5. Geyser in each room to provide hot water in winters (scheduled timings) for two hours per room every day or as decided by the University.

6. In-campus Hospital with ambulance to provide medical assistance to students

7. Internet connectivity through Wi-Fi system for scheduled timing for academic purposes only and subject to conditions.

8. Power backup for light load only (not for AC/Geyser/Air cooler).

9. Mess facility available.

10. Parking two wheeler/car facility at designated places only.

11. Gymnasium (optional on payment basis) xii. Students in residential facility are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Laptop, Mobile Charger, Shaving Set, Trimmer, Hair Straightener and Hair Dryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the occupants of the room.

My experience at LPU has completely changed my life. From nothing to completely worth it. Now, understanding my goals and know the path to it as well. I have lot many lessons at LPU, not just the lessons of different subjects or syllabus but the lessons of life.

Defining self, and now know how to handle the situation well. From being a back bencher to grab the first placement in my batch. LPU plays a vital role in all this.

As the LPU campus is the largest single-campus university in the country, the life of the students here is exceptionally outstanding. The campus is spread over 600 acres having all the latest facilities in the best form. The amenities available here are a hostel, auditorium, gym, cafeteria, library, laboratory, computer labs, sports ground, gym, medical rooms & all kinds of medical facilities, and the transport facility.

Going off to college often means trading the comfort of home and the coddling of our family for a different life altogether; one of compromise and adjustment, where we have to fend for ourselves. I am, of course, talking about life in a hostel. Most colleges have hostels you can stay in, and living in one is enriching, fun and frightening, all at the same time! At home, we have nothing to worry about. There’s always food around, and when there isn’t, our mom will probably make it for us. At the hostel, food has timings, and it’s never as satisfactory as “ghar ka khaana” (home food). Where we had an abundance of money at home and all we had to do was ask for it, we’re often broke in the hostel, because we burn through our allowance so fast that it’s embarrassing to ask our parents again! And of course, there is the most important: homesickness! Just the thought of staying so far from family and the comfort zone our hometown offers is ominous. But hostel life isn’t all bad. In fact, the pros often outweigh the cons here. It’s not just a fun experience to live with friends for several years; it also teaches us much more about life than any class or lecture ever could.

There are strict rules in LPU hostel which the hostelers need to follow. The timings of going out and coming in are strictly to be obeyed.If you want to go for a night out you need to take permission prior of 2 days. Your parents will be called and made aware of that for the safety reason as the management is responsible for the students safety.

LPU is a brand in itself. It has been ranked as one of the best universities by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its placements, its pedagogy, its faculty, to mention a few. First of all congratulations to you as you successful entered into the college life. I want to tell you that you are at the very right place, Lovely Professional University not only boosts the career of the Student, It also provides you the skills which school forgot to teach you.

Do not miss your Induction at all. You shall participate in your induction program which will help you to know basic guidelines of your program, information about your class mentor, HOD etc. You will be getting information about them and contact numbers, email ids will be shared at this time.

There is one Division named Division of Student where you can register for dance,Music,sports etc. !There is a mall in the campus itself where you can shop, eat, play games, etc. There is a gym as well. The campus itself is too big to accommodate all kind of leisure activities. I am sure many more things have been added till now.

If I will talk about hostel,Being a girl. I must say that Lovely Professional University is one of the best university. For security purpose it is very reliable for the girls students. It also contributes the gratification to the parents as well because we are living far away from our homes.

This University have stringent security measures and is Guarded by highly dedicated Security male and Female Guards deputed all around the premises.This University have Centralized Security Control Room with 4500+ CCTV cameras all around the university.

I stayed in LPU hostel during my Post graduation years and honestly those were the best days of my life. I made some amazing friends and had some amazing experiences.I was staying with two more roommates.The rooms will be of two types-Air conditioned and Air cooler.3 Seater hostels rooms has 3 iron bed,3 Plastic Chair,3 almirah,geyser with attached washroom.

Our rooms were spacious, gave us privacy and also gave us space to hangout with friends and chit chat, do projects, spend movie nights and game on!

My cousin took the admission in LPU in ECE last year only. And i must say it is one of the good decision of him. LPU has everything one student needs to grow. It has placement, good faculty, infrastructure, events, extra curriculum activities, good hostels etc. He is very much satisfied so do we.

according to me college life at LPU is good compared to other universities. Everything goes according to their strict norms, the faculty members are helpful during projects, during extra curricular activities, they provide notes to the students and strict about attendence.

Also the hostel life is Good at LPU. The timings for breakfast, lunch and dinner is proper and they cook seasonal food and once in a week they provide with a special diet but only vegetarian food is available. The condition of the rooms are good having attached toilet bathroom and both 2 seaters and 3 seaters rooms are available there ( AC as well as non-AC rooms). During summers the hostel restricts the entry of the outsiders and exit of the students at 7:30 PM and in winters at 6:30 PM.
