What is meant by open seats? I found that only some states offer them. How can we get mbbs admission in these seats?

Dear Sruthi, ever since NTA has taken over NEET examination, the concept of Open States has been scrapoed. Now it is 85% State Quota and 15% All India Quota. For example, in your case, if you belong to AP and hold domicile of AP, you can participate only in 85% State Quota of AP. But for the rest of the States excluding Jammu and Kashmir, you need to appear for their 15% All India Quota. This is because Jammu and Kashmir doesnt participate in All India Counselling. There is no more Open State Admission process.

Hello,
The admission to undergraduate medical courses through NEET to various private and government medical colleges throughout India has begun in most of the states.
Open category is equivalent to general category. Its just different terminology been used.
So for counselling process, follow the official site of your state's medical counselling authority for online forms. If note yet released, they will be out in few days. The merit list will be released in third or fourth week of june and counselling process will follow up.
