What is OBC - C and OBC NC
hi sayan,NC OBC implies Non Creamy Layer candidates among the OBC candidates. As per the latest government regulations, any candidate belonging to the OBC category and having a family income less than 6lpa belong to the non creamy layer and are entitled to the benefits of reservation. Any OBC candidate having income above 6lpa are not eligible for reservation.and to claim obc reservation, just your obc certificate is enough. its not mandatory to furnish your father's as well. hope this helps, good luck buddy
See obc c mean the candidate is obc by caste but come under the creamy layer category that means he is not economically backward and so though he is an obc candidate he is not been able to avail for the reservation given for the obc and he falls under the unreserved category this criteria of income is based on government gr presently person who's overall family income is below 8 lakh is been considered as non creamy layer that is ncl the ncl gets the vise versa of creamy layer candidates so they get the reservation benefits.
Hello Sayan
OBC-C refers to the OBC category people who come under creamy layer, while OBC-NCL refers to OBC category people who come under non-creamy layer.
You will be considered OBC only if your caste is mentioned in central list of OBC. All OBC castes are mentioned here in central list http://www.ncbc.nic.in/User_Panel/CentralListStateView.aspx
As far as my understanding goes, you do not need your father’s OBC caste certificate in order to apply under OBC category. Your OBC certificate is enough.
I hope it helps.
