- B.Sc. Hons. in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Botany / Zoology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences etc.
- The minimum passing marks required for admission differs for different colleges and also for different category students.
- Also, most of the colleges take admission into M.Sc. Biotechnology via entrance test. Few of the popular entrance examinations for M.Sc. Biotech. is IIT JAM, BHU etc.

Master of Science in Biotechnology is a 2 year Post graduation degree. The Basic eligibility criteria is the candidate must have passed Bachelor's degree in any of physics, Biological sciences, BS,BHMS,BPT with minimum 50 percentage from a recognised Board of University.
