Hi aspirant,
OBC category in Karnataka is divided into 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B categories. For being eligible for 3A category, you must belong to the following castes: Vokkaliga, Reddy, Gouda/Gowda, Heggade, Hallikar, Naidu, Balajiga, Balija, Munnur etc and few other castes mentioned in official government website for Backward Classes department, Ministry of Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka.
To be eligible for 3AR, which is for 3A students with rural quota. The eligibility for rural quota is candidate should have studied from 1st standard to 10th standard in any area which is not an urban area, large or small and not a transitional area (area changed from rural to urban).
