Before to apply for UGC NET Exam, you must check the eligibility criteria.
Candidates who want to apply for a Junior research fellowship, their age must not be more than 30 years (5 years relaxation for the SC/ST/PWD, Transgender, and woman applicants). There are no minimum age criteria but you should be completed your post graduation or master's degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks in the concerned subject. For ST/SC/OBC/ PWD/ Transgender Candidates - 50% aggregate in Master’s Degree.

- A candidate must not be more than 28 years as on January 1, 2019.
- There will be relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC- NCL, and PwD) and also to women applicants.
