You may mentioned either of them, whatever seems fine to you. Anyway that isnt a criteria to judge your Application. However, fill the DU Application form seriously and try rechecking or revising before submitting.

As per your query i think so your mother is an house wife so better option is to enter home maker/house wife rather than unemployed.
