When I apply for the Maharashtra State quota, they will ask for the nativity certificate. I haven't lived in Maharashtra to have valid address proof to submit a nativity certificate.

Shamita you have to apply for domicile certificate and for that you need to go to the authority office with your parent and with their domicile proof or voter ID card then you should be given the certificate.

My parents and I have an Aadhaar card with the Tamil Nadu address. My parents have lived here for 25 years. In fact, we tried getting a nativity certificate for Tamil Nadu. They refused to give us one because I wasn't born in Tamil Nadu, nor did I study in Tamil Nadu the last five years.
