Which campus is best VIT.vellore or chennai?

Firstly I will talk about studies . I don't know the difference in qualifications of the professors but one thing is that there is less competition among students in Chennai since population is very less compared to vellore campus. This means that chances of you becoming a 9 pointer is very high which is what you need to get a good CV in the end. Also you get scholarships every year if you come in the top three people of your branch and batch.

If you are asking about placements then there is no difference because placements take place together at VIT, Vellore. The only problem you have to face as a Chennai student is that you will have to go to Vellore and stay till you get placed. This can be frustrating sometimes.

Campus infrastructure or size . Campus of VIT Vellore is much much bigger than the Chennai one. Some people even refer to the Vellore campus as an island in itself! This is because the Chennai campus is relatively very new and was established only in 2010. But it is developing at a very fast pace. I'm a student at Chennai and when I came to the campus in 2014 there were only two hostel blocks. By the end of December, they started constructing a new hostel and by now they have already constructed half of the gigantic hostel!

Facilities inside the campus. As I was telling you about the campus size, facilities also differ proportionately. In chennai we don't have many food outlets or restaurants. For buying stationeries and snacks, we have just V-mart in our campus which I believe is not that well equipped! But in Vellore, I can't even remember how many shops or food outlets I saw there when I first went because there were too many!

But Chennai students have an upper hand over the Vellore ones based on location because we can go outing to so many places around Chennai. You can easily chill out in Chennai beaches, theatres, malls and even the famous Vandaloor zoo :p! I honestly have no idea about the outing options for Vellore campus since Vellore is a village area as such.

Coming to the culture . Chennai campus is a little conservative natured. You can be fined for public display of affection. In-timings are also very strict. Vellore has comparatively much more freedom than chennai.
