Engineering at LPU is much better than others and is a complete and perfect blend of learning and fun. I remember my days of engineering at LPU, how I use to rush for 9 am class and spend hours on my assignments.

Engineering is a blend and balance of book learning and practical learning. LPU creates the content in such a way that learning becomes easier for the students. Faculty members are so experienced that they are able to sense how much we have grabbed in his class. University provides all the resources and techniques to make learning easier and also at the same time prepare the students keep to cope up with the corporate world. I had a splendid experience with the faculty members, placement mentor and officers. I will share few of the major points to help you to get a clear picture of LPU.

Infrastructure: University has well-equipped labs with all the latest technologies for learning and development. Double Storey Central Library, equipped with computer labs and all the required books and curiculam, open for students till mid night 12. Not just this all the facilities in university is worth appreciating.

Faculty: Teachers were qualified. They have a good knowledge of the courses they teach. They are very helpful and supportive.

Placements: In my batch I remember, almost 95% students were placed and there were many who got the multiple package as well. The highest package was around 42 Lacs per annum.

All the students were trained professionally from their first year onwards. The University provides maximum opportunities to students. It depends upon the students whether they want to grab the opportunity or not. Most students who do not have backlogs or reappears gets placed. Students who were not so good in academics, they were enrolled in more PEP classes to help them in placements.

Various major companies take part in recruitment at LPU every year, some as Google, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, SNAP deal, Vodafone, Airtel, LG, HCL and many more. On an average, 200 MNCs visit our campus every year, placing around 2000 students every year. Packages vary from 5.30 L pa to 30 L pa based on the individual skill. Recently LPU student Tanya Arora bagged a placement of 42 lacs pa from Microsoft. LPU becomes first private university in India to host the Honorable PM, Shri Narendra Modi during The Indian Science Congress.

To commence with the curriculum, all the subjects you are going to study, their syllabus is designed keeping in mind the industry demands and the syllabus is vetted by company officials. Different specializations are offered to students depending upon the stream they want to opt for. For example- In CSE, they offer cyber security, IoT, data science, machine learning, and many more. Moreover, they give you the option for pathway elective that whether you want to be in the corporate sector, higher studies, Government Job, or entrepreneur.

In addition to it, the classes you have to attend regularly. They did not compromise with the academics of the students. If any faculty is on leave, the classes are either adjusted or makeup lectures are planned.

The University also provides the option of credit transfer and international exposure to its students.

If I talk about the placements, the preparation for placements starts from the very first year. Many top recruiters visit the LPU campus to employ graduates, such as Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Capgemini, Bosch, TCS, and several other firms. Recently, a girl got placed at a package of 42 LPA. Moreover, Amazon recruited LPU students with 28 LPA. More than 650 companies visit LPU every year for recruitment with an average package of 4-10 LPA. Every year visiting companies escalate in number and till date University has recorded the highest placements in North India.[1]
