Hi Anant! Academic background in medical or allied field is definitely preferred by B-schools offering Healthcare Management. However, I would suggest you to go for Hospital or Healthcare Management only if you are genuinely interested to pursue your career in the Healthcare sector. If you are, then some of the top B-schools offering Healthcare Management programme are Goa Institute of Management, Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences, IIHMR University, Vishwa Vishwani Institute of Management to name a few. The above mentioned institutes accept CMAT scores as well except SIHS Pune, which considers SNAP. SNAP 2017 application process is also going on and the last date is November 24, 2017.

thanks for your reply.
Goa Institute of Management and Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences have a fee structure of approx. 10 lac for 2 year course. Is taking an education loan of 10 lac for these institutes worth it?

Also I am not just focussed on hospital or healthcare management. I can also go for MBA in marketing/HR/General management/any specialization. Will my BDS degree help me if I pursue MBA in marketing.
For other specializations like Marketing/HR/Finance, BDS won't have any specific significance. However, you may still get placement offers at Health sector where you can utilize your BDS as well as management skills.
