Hi there , in order to take admission in B.tech stream you need to qualify LPUNEST test . LPU conducts its own National level test LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) and make admissions on the basis of score in LPUNEST.  Along with LPUNEST, the applicant is required to have 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English Physics & Mathematics ). The qualifying marks for LPU NEST are 40%.The aim of conducting LPUNEST is to check how far the concepts are clear to the student.

Hi there , in order to take admission in B.tech stream you need to qualify LPUNEST test . The syllabus of test includes chemistry , physics , mathematics , biology , English , aptitude etc. The duration of the test is 150 minutes (2:30 hr.) and it consists of objective type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions.

This year one of my friend inquired from LPU regarding B.Tech where she was told to have minimum 60% to take admission as the eligibility is 60% in 10+2 with (English , Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPUNEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains  are exempted from LPUNEST. As she scored more than 80% , she was advised to appear in LPUNEST which university is taking Remotely Online proctored test from home considering the scenario of COVID-19.

It is LPU national eligibility and schlorship test. LPU NEST is mandatory or not, This is depend on course to course.  in btech it is mandatory . LPU NEST has two purposes I. e eligibility and scholarship. There are some courses in which LPU NEST is mandatory means you cannot join without giving it whereas there are few courses in which LPU NEST is given for scholarship only. The University is conducting remotely proctored online LPU NEST from home.

LPUNEST serves two purposes i.e eligibility and scholarship. The syllabus of LPUNEST varies from course to course but the pattern of LPUNEST  is same i.e objective in nature.  The subjects for preparing for LPUNEST exam is based on what you have studied in your previous qualification in maximum cases.

You can find Question Paper Pattern, Sample Question and Syllabus are available on the website which will be very helpful to you.

You must score 35% approximately to clear the test but to take admission in Honours, the cut-off is little stringent.

You are advised to go through the content of your previous qualification in detail and so practice of MCQ.

But as you are appearing for B.Tech then you can keep LPU sample book for LPUNEST as a base as it contains previous 10 years sample questions.

The point is not only to clear it but do it in such a way that you can fetch maximum scholarship.

For availing admission in b.tech, you can either apply LPUNEST or jee mains. Lpu considers both tests as parameters for availing admission in by LPU.

Two counselling methods followed by lpu:

Special Counseling Schedule : All candidates who already have JEE Mains or LPUNEST score (from exams conducted in January 2020) can participate in special counseling schedule.

Regular schedule of counselling: Applicants who do not have LPUNEST score or JEE (Mains) score because they did not appear for exams in January / February shall apply on or before 20th April, 2020. The schedule of LPUNEST exam and counselling will be informed depending upon Government decision on lockdown due to Covid-19.
