which is best, doon business school or upes, for bba.
Always choose the institute that along with good education provides you a platform to improve your ideas and provide an stage to bring your innovative ideas into practice. as far as these colleges are concern, i would prefer Lovely Professional University.
LPU is known for its MBA. LPU provides quality education, with great scholarship programs plus holistic learning opportunities.
Mittal School of Business is among the first 10 institutions in India to get ACBSP (USA) accreditation, Mittal school of Business ranked among the top 40 Management institution in India, as per NIRF ranking 2021.
The curriculum is made keeping in mind the current market trends. The placements are 100%, and students have special placement-oriented classes that serve as a booster for students to clear the exam and interview. Companies like Hyatt, Ritz Carlton, Adani Wilmar, Altruist, Al-Rakha, Dharam Consultancy selected LPU students for International locations. The highest package availed is 21 LPA. More than 650 companies visit LPU every year for recruitment with an average of 5-12 LPA packages and the highest package was 21LPA. Every year visiting companies escalate in number and till date University has recorded the highest placements in North India.
Both are good, but the question is not even mentioning the leader of the pack i.e LPU !
Being an educator since last 16 years, I have noticed one thing which is exclusive to LPU, it is the sheer scale of its operations and massive national and international diversity of students and faculty, It works on a different level altogether which makes the comparison look difficult. Just look at, BBA is offered at LPU in many iterations as follows:
BBA 3 years. Dual Degree BBA MBA 5 years.
BBA (Hons. ) 3 years.
Dual Degree BBA (Hons. ) MBA 5 years.
BBA (Rural Management) 3 year.
Integrated BBA MBA 4 years.
BBA (Information Technology) 3 years.
BBA (Airlines and Airport management) 3 years.
BBA (Financial Markets) 3 years.
BBA (Tourism and Hospitality )3 years.
BBA (International Finance) 3 years.
Being internationally accredited by AACBSP, these courses have clear edge. And with programme outcomes like following it makes quite a difference:
Decision Making : Demonstrate ability to contribute to decisions in different functional areas of business knowledge : Implement basic business concepts effectively in real world
Sustainability and Ethics : Take or recommend business decisions in the light of professional ethics and sustainability concerns
Communication : Exercise effective written and oral communication skills in professional and public life
Holistic Development : Demonstrate mental, moral & emotional maturity in professional and personal life
Leadership and Team work : Demonstrate ability to lead or work as an effective team member in organizing events or discharging responsibilities
Analytical Skills : Effective use of analytical and reasoning skills in solving real time business problems. Comprehend the business and industry environment and assess its impact on business profitability and competitive advantage. Demonstrate competence to contribute to rationale business decisions based on management principles and analysis. Lastly : A large campus becomes a huge ecosystem in itself, enabling many entrepreneurship opportunities due to its scale. This is a vital exposure which only a large campus can give. The placements also are on a different level with 700+ companies being regular campus recruiters. Over hundred of them belong to fortune 500 group!
The highlights of BBA placements are at De Shaw and Trident at 18 LPA and 15 LPA !
Hope this helps.
See, this is big debate because both the colleges are world class and its hard to differentiate between them. So, you will have to decide.
Doon business school is considered better than UPES in terms of ROI and course fees, academics and faculty members are also good.
But, also on the other hand UPES is better in terms of placements, curriculum and infrastructure.
So, there is a cut throat competition between both these college there is no strong reason to consider one of them as second best.
I hope this helps.
