Which is better... BSc in computer science or BTech in computer science
Well Bsc is a 3 years degree and B.Tech is a 4 year degree.
The 4 year degree gives more knowledge, opportunity of practical learning and have more scope. In my opinion you should go for B.tech programme.
I have been in LPU so I can vouch on their practices that they are implementing and I have witnessed their effort for students and management working hard for placement and imparting quality teaching. Here are few highlights:
LPU is a well renowned university, providing quality education, innovative pedagogy and unbeatable placements both national and international. LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. The students also work on live projects, so that they are able to apply their knowledge to practical settings. It is one of the few that has embraced international practices when it comes to designing a curriculum. Instead of using old school books and lectures, LPU has experimented with books, interactive problem-solving interactions and working through real-world applications.
The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to placements. LPU is conferred with National Employ-ability Award 2020 by Aspiring Minds for the 7th time in a row for having Most Employable Students and being one among the top colleges and universities in India with one of the highest Employ-ability rates.
The university provides ample opportunities to each and every of the eligible students to secure good placement. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. The university leaves no stone unturned to shape the future of its students. It is definitely the first choice of both national and international students. LPU has become the landing place of many leading industries for recruitment. It has many top rankings in placements.
Companies which recruit from IIT's, IIM’s also recruit the students of LPU. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Cognizant Technology Solutions, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amdocs, Capgemini, Verizon, Qualcomm, Drishti Soft Solutions, L&T Infoetch, Tek Systems, Alight Solutions, Tivo Corporation, Wipro, Interviewbit, LG Soft India, PEGA, and many more visit lpu for placement of students.
Hello!
B.Tech in CS is 4 year duration course where as B.Sc CS is a 3 year duration course.B.Tech in CS is a professional degree where as B.Sc in CS is a normal degree.Practical knowledge of a B.Tech in CS graduate and B.Sc CS graduate will be different.Pay scale after securing a job for both B.Tech in CS graduate and B.Sc CS graduate will be different.
Scope and career opportunities varies as per the course. Now with this you need to make sure you choose a right academic partner
B.Sc. Computer Science is a 3 year undergraduate specialisation course in the field of computer Science, teaching the various aspects of computer Science and its applications which includes programming, software development, etc. It also involves software development and testing, networks, programming, etc. B.Tech CSE is a 4-year undergraduate engineering course on practical and theoretical knowledge of computer hardware and software. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Physics, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50% marks. B.Tech according to me is a more professional course and give you better job opportunities as compared to B.Sc. Yes if you want to follow a path of academics then B.Sc. M.Sc. And Ph.D. would be a perfect way to become a professor in a reputed university. But he fact is you need a good university to support you with best academics.
Now with this you need to make sure you choose a right academic partner. Few of the leading universities that offer both these courses are : 1. IIT
2. Lovely Professional University, Punjab
3. Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi.
4. IP-University, Delhi.
5. NITs.
6. Punjab University, Chandigarh.
7. Anna University, Coimbatore.
8. DTU
9. Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana.
10. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. I have done my engineering from Lovely Professional University, so Being an LPU Alumni, I can say that LPU has experienced faculty members, well-equipped labs, great infrastructure, excellent placements, complete training and placement assistance and lot more and that too at a very low fees and high scholarships. The university is equipped with the latest technologies delivering the most effective methods of teaching in its spacious campus. LPU provides an environment where students are enlightened through the extensive array of learning methodologies. Highly qualified teaching staff combined with the best laboratories and modern technologies makes LPU the best place to pursue your degree. Admissions at LPU is going on these days, through online admission. Better be fast to grab the maximum scholarship as well.
I hope this helps.
All the Best!
B.Sc. Computer Science is 3 years of Graduation course while BTech is 4 years of Graduation course after which you will get Engineer's Degree. BSc CS will teach you about computer application but wont focus much on coding. So I would suggest you for B.tech Computer science.
