Hi,
There is a lot of difference between IIITs and NITs. NITs are the institues of national importance whereas IIITs comes under state governents. NITs are far better than IIITs. However some IIITs such as IIIT Allahabad and IIIT Guwahati are considered to be better than the other lower NITs. Overall NITs are better and much more well developed.
