Critical care technologists, more commonly known as biomedical equipment technicians or medical equipment repairers in the United States, are responsible for the installation and maintenance of medical devices and machines. For instance, they set up machines such as CAT scanners and voice-controlled operating tables in hospitals, and then show medical professionals how to use them. They also perform routine maintenance checks and software calibrations, as well as major repairs if a particular machine is malfunctioning. In some cases, they replace parts or entire machines.
hi!
Critical Care Techs help care for critical injured and ill patients. Many different health care workers can provide critical care, including Certified Nursing Assistant, and Er Nurses. However, most Critical Care Techs are Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with special training. Because you’re not a Doctor or a Nurse, you’re limited in the amount of patient care you can provide. Wheras, Perfusion is a profession with increasing demand. There are approximately 4,000 cardiovascular perfusionists in the nation. The demand for cardiovascular perfusionists is expected to increase,
