If your question is regarding the 10% reservation for the Economically Backward Class among the Upper Castes, the Parliament has passed the bill but the actual implementstion rules need to be still worked on. The States will have to define 'Backwardness'and then work on the mecahnism of rule implementation. While it has been announced that this reservation will be in force from this Accademic year, nothing is clear yet. However, if you belong to EBC, we would suggest you to get those necessary documents to avail this benefit.

RESERVATION OF SEATS IN GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGES UNDER 15% ALL INDIA QUOTA will be as follows:

(i) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,

(ii) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,

(iii) 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates only in Central Educational Institutions.

For State Quota Seats, resevation will be as per the notification and eigibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory.
