Will 52 marks select in mit or give second attempt ?
Hello Garima Jain. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
It all depends on in what did you get 52 marks in? JEE Mains? Doesn't matter. Your 12th Boards PCM rank: You won't get a seat unless you have calculated it wrongly.
Note that Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai is affiliated to the one and only Anna University. So, admissions take place through the TNEA counselling window. And, usually the 12th PCM board marks are taken as a cutoff for students to gain admissions into the undergraduate courses in all the Anna University affiliated colleges.
How to calculate cutoff? Cutoffs are calculated out of 200 by converting all PCM marks into 200 as follows:
- Cutoff = Maths/2 + (Physics + Chemistry)/4
History tells us that with a cutoff of 197-200, you can definitely expect to get a seat in your preferred engineering course at MIT, Chennai. Please see this Quora question for proof:
