Will appearing only in MHCET 2018 make me eligible for admission criteria for various universities / collages / institutions

Through MHT CET you can take admission in government and private engineering colleges of Maharashtra.

To take admission in government colleges of Maharashtra you should have domicile certificate of Maharashtra.

In order to take admission in NITs/IIITs and GFTIs you have to appear for JEE Main exam and to take admission in IITs you have to appear for JEE Advanced exam.

JEE Main is the first step to be eligible for JEE Advanced exam.

To take admission in top private level colleges you can appear in BITSAT, VITEEE, Manipal and SRMJEE.

If you wish to seek admission in Government/Private/aided/governmet-funded engineering institutes in the state of Maharashtra, then there is no other way to get admission other than MHT CET. It's mandatory to appear in MHT CET, as that is the only entry gate for admission. However, if you wish to get admission in the 15% All India Quota seats reserved for JEE Main candidates across the private engineering institutes, then you have to appear in JEE Main and based on your scores in JEE Main, apply for admission into the private engineering colleges of Maharashtra which offer 15% All India Quota seats.

Also, if you want admission in IIT Bombay, then you have to appear and qualify in JEE Advanced and if you wish get admission in NIT Nagpur, then the entry test for that is JEE Main.
