Hello student,
With a score of 440 in BC category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in the government medical colleges when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 558 was required to fetch one a seat in Rajah Muthaiah medical college, Annamalainagar in BC category under the state quota. Also, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection

In 2017, 438 marks under BC Category secured a seat in Stanley Medical College. Infact, the cut off was 297 marks for 2017 under BC Category. We unfortunately do not have 2018 data with us. But you can expect a GMC in Tamilnadu with that score. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam.
