It is highly unlikely that the cut off's of colleges will increase as the number of seats will not decrease due to the lockdown. The number of seats in colleges will remain the same. However the cut off's might differ if the number of candidates change. If the number of candidates increases then the competition will increase as well and the cut off might get increased in such situation.
No, colleges be it private or government will not increase the JEE mains cut off marks because of lockdown .
Actually cut off marks depends upon various factors like:-
- number of students that appeared in the jee mains exam,
- kind of marks obtained by them ,
- toughness level of the examination etc.
So, cut off marks may increase or decrease depending upon above factors.
For example, if this year question paper of jee mains will be easy then cut off will increase whereas if question paper of jee mains will be difficult then cut off will decrease.
