The Candidate Qualifying in IMU CET or IIT-JEE/any State-level Engineering Entrance Examination (minimum of 40 Percentile score).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as mandatory subjects from a recognized board.

Maximum age:
*The reference date for calculation of the age will be from the date of commencement of the Academic Session (01.08.2024).
Eligibility - Lateral Entry for admission in 2nd Year
3-years Engineering Diploma in Marine/ Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics, from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% of aggregate marks in the last year of Diploma Course.
OR
4 years Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering from the colleges approved by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education with minimum 55% aggregate marks in the last year of diploma course.
OR
1st year training from the Alternate Training Scheme, approved by D.G. Shipping (This will not be applicable to MERI).
(a) Pass in 12th Standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%.
(b) The candidate must have secured a minimum 50% marks in the English language in the 10th or 12th standard exam (As per DGS Norms).
Relaxation of 5% in English marks will apply to candidates who are natives of the Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and belong to their Scheduled Tribes and who & both of whose parents were born in those islands & belong to the Scheduled Tribes of those islands. For SC/ST candidates: There will be a 5% relaxation in the eligibility marks of PCM; however, it will not apply to English Marks.
Note: The candidate must have passed the 10th and 12th standards from a recognized board.
