Admission is offered to candidates based on their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT).

Individuals willing to join the BITS Pilani Online M.Tech Data Science and Engineering programme must meet the eligibility criteria defined by the university. The online M.Tech Data Science and Engineering eligibility criteria are as follows:

Candidates must be employed professionals and have completed B.E./ B.Tech. with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and hold at least one year of work experience after their UG degree.

OR

Candidates must be employed professionals and have completed an MCA/ M.Sc. or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. They should have studied university-level mathematics or statistics as mandatory subjects and hold a minimum of one year of relevant work experience after the completion of their UG degree.

A candidate must have passed the master's degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/Statistics/Operational
Research/any branch of Science/Master of Computer Applications (MCA)/Bachelor’s
degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology with 55% marks.
