I got 86 percentile in january mains paper 2 2019(i.e. b.arch) and I got 86.6 percent in IPE telangana board. am I eigible for JOSAA 2019 ?

hi hemanth,

the cutoff for counselling for different categories are:-

1.GENERAL:-89.75488

2.GENERAL(EWS):-78.2174

3.OBC(NCL):-74.3166

4.SC:-54.0128

5.ST:-44.3345

6.:-PWD:-0.11371


so,if you fall under general category then you are not eligible ,else if you belong to any reserved categories then you are eligible for josaa counselling .

NIMS Jaipur provide you admission in the course of B.Arch on the basis of NATA or JEE MAINS paper 2.The eligibility criterion also includes a minimu of 50% in 10+2 with mathematics as a compulsary subject.It is a five year course with an intake of 30 students

it can be said that both nit and iit are good for b.arch as you have not mentioned about which iit or nit are you asking. FOR nit some of the best nit for b arch are

nit trichy,mnit jaipur,nit patna,vnit nagpur,nit calicut,nit raipur. hope it helps.

With your mentioned percentile your general category rank will be around 4K.
Last year the closing rank for NITs was around 3k( for Bplanning/ general category). However, you might get GFITs.Since NTA will publish the final cut off list after JEE main April session you've to wait for

you are eligible for NITs/IIITs if you appear in NATA.The eligibility criteria is as follows:

You need to have 50% aggregate in 12th boards and must have 50% in PCM also.

For admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, the general category candidates should have obtained 75% aggregate marks and the OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates should have scores 65% in total five subjects including Mathematics.     

Or you need to be in top 20 percentile of your respective board.
