Hey,
After pursuing Architecture, a candidate can pursue its career in real estate, infrastructure, interior designing, public works department and teaching.

Also, a candidate can get a job in government sectors in fields like PWD, Municipal Corporations, Town and Urban Planning Boards. Although, private sector jobs have wide opportunities to grow in fields like Building and Property Developers, Architectural Consultancy Firms. Here, is the list of common job profiles for B.Arch. candidate:

The average pay scale is from Rs. 3-5 LPA, which depend on factors like job location, job profile and work experience. Also, after few years of experience, one can earn about Rs. 8-12 LPA easily.

In order to take admission in IITs for B.Arch you have to qualify for JEE Main exam to be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced then you have to clear AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test) entrance exam.

After clearing AAT exam you can take admission in IIT Roorkee and IIT Kharagpur for B.Arch course.

Sir.Im from kerala looking for b arch in sir jj college of architecture.I had applied for NATA.Should I must attend any other entrance???

Sourav Chaudhary 4th Mar, 2018

As you already mentioned that you have filled NATA 2018, you can get admit into your choice of college as you mentioned, ‘Sir JJ college of architecture’

During admission through NATA, the college considers your NATA score as well as 12th Board marks, 50-50%.

E.g. - If your NATA score is 110 and 12th percentage is 75%, then your overall score for admission will be [110/4=27.5 & 80/2=40] Total 67.5%.

For admission into any good colleges in India you should get around 65-75%+ aggregate and for Top colleges should get more than 75-85% aggregate.

If you want to put more effort in cracking B.arch, despite knowing the fact that you have filled NATA already

I will suggest you that there are 2 type of exam :- 1) Top architecture entrance exam conducted at National Level 2) Top architecture entrance exam conducted at State Level

- Top architecture entrance exams conducted at National Level

I WANT TO DO MASTERS IN ARCHITECTURE FROM USA. WHATS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE ADMISSION&HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO SCORE IN GRE & B.ARCH

Ankit Tejbahadur Yadav 10th Mar, 2018

There a few common things for studying in USA. You will need 2/3 LOR's which should be from your teacher/employer who know you well. Your GPA should be above 3/4. You will need to write a Statement of Purpose (SOP) which you will need to help tell the universities your past motivations and your future goals. Next the requirement will be an English Testing Examination IELTS/TOEFL for proving you know the required communication skills to survive in US. Other criterions are variable and should be checked on the website.

Is jee main paper2 exam is best or NATA WHICH IS BEST EXAM AMONG THESE FOR A GOVERNMENT B.ARCH CLLG PLZZ CLEAR MY VISION

Priyank Sharma 31st May, 2018

JEE Mains Paper 2 and NATA, both the exams are conducted for admission into 5 years Architecture courses. This being the similarity, there are also many differences between these two courses.

  • JEE Mains is conducted by CBSE whereas NATA is conducted by Council of Architecture.
  • The duration for both the exams is 3 Hours.
  • It is believed that the difficulty level for JEE Mains is higher as compared to NATA.
  • The institutes that give admission on the basis of JEE Mains paper 2 are NITs and GFTIs whereas by NATA you get admission into Private colleges and State level colleges, other than NITs and IITs.
  • The mode of exam for both the exams is offline.
