In my opinion you should for NIT Silchar.

If you only see in terms of placement then NIT Silchar is far better than Assam Engineering College which is in Guwahati. In NITs you will get lots of opportunities rather than other colleges like AEC or any other college state

So, Yes you can pursue but Civil engineering and Architecture are two really different branches and hence it is not advisable to pursue Architecture after doing Civil as you must have already spent 4 years for B.tech and B.Arch is for 5 years
