no it will not make any kind of problem for you if there is a gap of one or two year between your graduation and CAT but i will suggest you that please utilise this gap try to do something else as well with the preparations of CAT

Yes definitely dont give up try for it. You can also try Cmat in January and try getting 95+ as a backup it will definitely help you to increase your chances in securing a call and convert it.
