With a rank of 46,090, you may not get admission into top government polytechnic colleges for Computer Science Diploma, but you can still get a seat in private or lower-tier colleges, depending on your state (like AP, TS, UP, etc.).
Attend counseling rounds, and you may get a mid- or low-tier college for CSE.
With a Class 12 board score of 86% in 2024, your son meets the board-based eligibility for B.Tech CSE at Thapar University—but there’s one important detail. Thapar conducts admissions via two modes: one uses JEE Main scores (50% seats) and the other uses Class 12 PCM marks (50% seats). However, for top branches like CSE, only JEE-qualified candidates are considered.
Admissions through Class 12 marks only apply to other branches—not CSE—since board-based seats in CSE are typically not offered anymore for 2025 onwards.
With a KCET 2025 rank of 19,385, you have good chances for Computer Science and Engineering in mid-level colleges like:
Acharya Institute of Technology
East West Institute of Technology
SJBIT
Atria Institute of Technology
Final allotment depends on category and seat availability in each round.
It is difficult to say definitively whether a score of 200 on the JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh) exam will be sufficient for admission to the Computer Science branch at Government Polytechnic Ghaziabad, as cutoffs vary each year and depend on several factors.
Generally, a score of 200 might be sufficient for some general category seats, but it's not guaranteed. For better chances, aim for a score above 200, especially if you are in the general category. For top colleges, a score of 220+ marks is ideal, and for the top 50, a score of 240+ is recommended.

We can understand the confusion while enrolling in a particular course but at the end it totally depends on your personal interest as well as your capabilities. If you understand computer concepts easily and you also have got decent base of computer knowledge then you should choose BCA. On the other hand, if you do not have any interest in computers, but you do well in management studies and statistics, then BBA should be your choice.

Dear student,
With an 88.97 percentile in MHT CET and an interest in Computer Science , it might be tough to get into Computer Engineering at Sanjivani College of Engineering, Kopargaon through the general round.
Last year, the cutoffs for Computer Engineering were above 92 percentile in all rounds. For Information Technology , the range was between 90.8 to 91.4 , which is still slightly above your score.
However, there’s a small chance for Electronics & Computer Engineering , which had a cutoff as low as 88.14 percentile in Round 1. Since you're slightly above that, you might get it if the cutoff drops a bit this year — though it’s not guaranteed.
Here below I am providing you with the name of some of the colleges you can look for:
