With 67,343 EAMCET rank (BC-A girl):

No chance in top government colleges for CSE.

Good chance in private colleges for CSE, like:

Other mid-level private colleges.

Respected Sir/Maam, I have secured 94.37 percentile in the MHT CET exam. I wanted to ask whether I have a chance of getting admission in COEP or VJTI for Computer Science (CSE), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI

Kishan Bhakat 21st Jun, 2025

hi,

94.37 percentile in MHT CET, it is very difficult to get CSE, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Science in COEP or VJTI because the cutoffs for these branches are usually very high, mostly around 99 to 99.5 percentile. you can still try for other branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Production in later rounds. You can also get CSE or Data Science in other good private colleges like PCCOE, VIIT, MIT-WPU, or PICT where the cutoffs match your score.

computer science and technology total fees

Anushree Thakare 26th Jul, 2025

The total fees for Computer Science and Technology programs vary significantly based on the institution (government vs. private), degree level (undergraduate vs. postgraduate), and specific program (e.g., B.Tech, M.Tech, MSc). Generally,

Undergraduate (B.Tech/B.E.)

Government Colleges:

Fees can be as low as INR 60,000 to INR 1 lakh per year at institutions like COEP and VNIT. However, top-tier institutions like IITs can range from INR 8 lakh to INR 10 lakh for the entire program.

Private Colleges:

Fees vary widely. Some colleges may have fees ranging from INR 4 lakh to INR 7 lakh for the entire program, while others, especially those with strong placement records or specialized programs (like AI or Cyber Security), can have fees from INR 16 lakh to INR 25 lakh or even higher.

To get a more precise information, it's recommended to:

  • Identify the specific colleges and programs you are interested in.
  • Visit the official websites of those institutions.
  • Look for the detailed fee structure for your chosen program.
  • Consider any additional costs like hostel fees, mess fees, etc.

Thank you!!

I have got 50 percentile in mh-cet exam and I want admission in engineering college with computer science engineering

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

With 50 percentile in the MHT-CET exam, admission to Computer Science Engineering in top or mid-tier government and private colleges is unlikely, especially under the general category. CSE is one of the most competitive branches, and the cutoffs for it usually fall much higher, often above the 85th percentile even in less competitive colleges.

However, you still have options. Some private colleges in Maharashtra accept students with lower percentiles, particularly in the later CAP rounds or through institute-level quota. These colleges may have management seats or unfilled seats in emerging CSE-related branches like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or IT. Your chances will improve if you are open to considering these specializations and if you closely follow the counselling rounds.

To improve your chances, participate in every round of MHT CET CAP counselling, including the institute-level and spot rounds. Fill in a large number of college options and be flexible with location and branch alternatives. While admission into core CSE at reputed colleges may not be possible, you can still get into a private institute that offers good teaching and placement support if you’re willing to put in consistent effort during your degree.

I want to take admission in college in pune for be / B tech computer engineering

OISHEE BANERJEE 19th Jun, 2025

If you're planning to take admission in Pune for BE or B.Tech in Computer Engineering, the first thing you’ll need is a valid score in either MHT CET or JEE Main. Admissions are mainly done through the centralized CAP counselling process conducted by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. Based on your score or percentile, you’ll get a chance to select from a range of colleges during the counselling rounds.

For Computer Engineering, the top colleges in Pune like COEP, MIT-WPU, PCCOE, and VIIT usually have high cutoffs, especially for the general category. If your score is on the higher side, you could target these. But even if your percentile is around the mid-80s or slightly lower, you can still get into good private colleges in Pune like JSPM, DY Patil, Zeal College, or PES Modern College, especially in the later rounds or through institute-level quota.

Make sure you register for CAP counselling on time, fill as many college choices as possible, and keep your preferences flexible. Also, it helps to keep an eye on closing ranks from previous years so you can estimate where you stand. If you share your MHT CET or JEE Main percentile, I can help you shortlist colleges more accurately.

All the best!

which companies do visit for the placement of mcs(computer science)?

Ayush Madanpotra 24th Jun, 2025

For MCS (Master of Computer Science) students, many IT and software companies visit top universities and colleges for placements. The exact companies depend on your college, but in general, these are some common and popular recruiters:

TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, HCL, IBM, Accenture, Deloitte, L&T Infotech, Zensar, Persistent Systems, and Mindtree.

In top colleges like Pune University, Fergusson College, or colleges in Bangalore, you may also see product-based companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Oracle, and Adobe, but usually for students with very strong coding and academic backgrounds.

If you’re from a good college, and you keep your programming skills strong (in Java, Python, C++, Data Structures, etc.), and prepare well for interviews, you can get placed in these companies with good salary packages.
