Can we apply our domicile state govt. medical colleges also through AIQ. Is there any disadvantage in doing that ?

piyush263001 28th Oct, 2021

Hello,

Yes you can fill in all the choices for government or private medical colleges in All India Quota. It doesn't matter if the college is from your domicile state.

The only disadvantage for filling  government colleges from your domicile state during AIQ is that you will be reducing your chances of trying in other colleges for seats as you will again get opportunity to get seat in GMCs in your domicile state through State counseling.

Also cut offs for GMCs during AIQ is very high compared to the cut off during State counseling.

I am expecting 590 marks in General category NEET UG 2021 having Domicile of Bihar and Delhi,Though I did my all education from Delhi, what will be the counseling process where am I eligible for a MBBS govt college seat?

Raj R T 18th Sep, 2021
Hi aspirant!
You are eligible for Delhi state quota as you said that you have done all education because they consider students who have done their 11th and 12th from there  as domicile.
As for Bihar you can check the state's official website for the exact rules of that state and also see the link given to see the criteria for state quota of bihar
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-domicile-criteria/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjAzJOMrofzAhWzzjgGHXmoAMQQFnoECBMQBg&usg=AOvVaw0wyJhUU8ZtRAE-pUIvEI7v&ampcf=1

Apart from that the cut off marks for Delhi state quota in 2020 was 637 for general, 614 for Ews, 600 for obc. So if you still might have a chance of getting if this year the cut off falls a bit since your score of 590 is very good.

anvesha dey 18th Sep, 2021

Hi

You can get a domicile certificate of Maharastra. For getting a certificate the place of birth doesn't matter.

You need to fulfill the criteria only which is

• you should be a resident in that state for more than 15 years.

And the documents required for applying are

•photocopy of age proof like birth certificate, 10th or 12th marksheets.

•document which shows your address proof like driving licence or ration card.

•affidavit from court.

•photos

•proof of residence

•identity proof.

• self declaration

You can also check the official site for this

Hope this helps you

I have a Maharashtra domicile but not obc NCL certificate but I have central OBC NCL certificate so can I apply state qouta in Maharashtra as well as I can apply Maharashtra obc NCL certificate..?

Shrinivas Tayade 20th Sep, 2021

Dear candidate, you definitely need an OBC NCL certificate for jee main. If you belong to the obc category but your family income is more than 8 lakh then you would be considered as general, but if it is less then only you can get a reservation in the OBC ncl category. for jee mains obc ncl certificate from a state or the central government both will work. But for JEE MAINS AND ADVANCE, an OBC NCL caste certificate is required only from the central government. this should be in proper format as described for the exam.

I hope this might be helpful.

If I get NET 2021 score 480, can I get a good MBBS college with annual fee less than 8 lakhs. I am OBC candidate with Delhi domicile.

rajeevanand843 18th Sep, 2021

Hello aspirant

The only state in India which have private medical colleges fee's below 8lakh/annum are Kerala and chattisgarh.

So get a seat in those college's, student from all over India try which lead to get high cut off marks. Those state private medical colleges go upto 50-550+ marks.

Although you can try in both state upto mop-up round which is held offline and students don't attend much. So if you get lucky you may get a seat.

Use NEET UG college predictor tool to know your other admission possibilities for MBBS, BDS & Ayush courses.

Hi, I simran want to know that with 315 Marks in NEET 2021 under SC category domicile of H.P. can get govt medical college ??

Anurag Khanna 27th Oct, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.

So on such marks you have very low or almost no chances to get any of the government medical colleges under state quota of Himachal Pradesh because the closing cut-off of last year was around 500+ for SC category. But on such score you can go for some Deemed Institutions through AIQ counselling, so as per the previous years data you can go for following deemed institutions through AIQ counselling :-

BVDU Medical College and Hospital, Sangli:- 311 marks

Saveetha Medical College, Chennai:- 265 marks

Dr. DYP Edu. Soc. Deemed Uni., Kolhapur:- 262 marks

Vinayaka Missions Medical College and Hospital, Karaikal:- 257 marks

Krishna Institute of  Medical Sc., Karad:- 253 marks

Or if you want to take a drop and prepare for NEET 2022 then to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

I am getting 582 marks in neet ug. what are the chances of me getting a govt. seat? Rajasthan domicile, general category

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Sep, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then

>>>>> with 582 marks

you hold a low chance to get mbbs seat in Government Medical College

For example,

in neet  2020, 628 marks for general category was the lowest marks to get mbbs seat in  government medical college   under Rajasthan state quota and it was for Government Medical College, Dungarpur

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-rajasthan

But yes

You have chances for government quota seat in private mbbs colleges under Rajasthan state quota like

  • Pacific MC & Hospital, Udaipur

  • Geetanjali MC, Udaipur

  • Ananta Institute of Med. Sc., Rajsamand

  • Pacific MC & Hospital, Udaipur

And a few more

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cutoff keeps changing every year  due to   many factors as mentioned earlier, so to have a clear picture of the colleges in   which you have to chances and

to get the complete list of colleges in which you have chances, you can go through our college predictor at

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

It gives you a personalized report with top college in which you have chances for admission , with the help of predicted colleges you can make better choice while filling your choices of colleges during your counselling
