Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Delhi
Hi Ravi
For admission in FMS, you need to fulfil its admission criteria which says you must qualify the institute’s CAT cutoff i.e. 31.462 marks in CAT 2017 for SC category. To shortlist the candidates, the institute also considers section-wise weightage - 30% to QA, 30% to Di & LR, and 40% to VARC. If you fulfil this criterion, you will be shortlisted and you appear for GD and PI. For the final selection for admission, FMS gives certain weightage to each factor and if you qualify all the selection rounds, you get admission.
Weightage to each factor for final selection:
CAT 2017 score – 60%
Class X marks – 5%
Class XII marks – 5%
GD – 10%
PI – 15%
Extempore – 5%

All the best.
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 98.5 percentile to get a call for the next round.
All the best!
FMS does not put weightage on past academics. So focus on getting an excellent score in CAT. Score above 99 and you have one leg inside FMS. All the best.
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.4 percentile in CAT to get a call for the next round.
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.3 percentile to get a call for the next round.
You will be glad to know FMS does not put much emphasis on past academic records. CAT score is the major criteria to get into FMS followed by Personal Interview, Group Discussion and Extempore. Nevetheless you need to score exceptionally well to get a call from the institute. A score of 99.2+ is required for FMS.
Actually FMS goes as per the category in CW quota. There are a total of 12-13 seats which is mostly dominated by cw1 and if their are seats left than they go as per the order from CW1-CW6. So whatever if you score it really doesn't matter a lot if you apply with CW quota.
Based on your academic record, the percentiles needed for the afore mentioned colleges are:
IIM A - 99.98+
IIM B - 99.98+
IIM C - 99.95+
FMS - 99.2+
I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.4 percentile to get a call for the next round.
Based on your academic profile, the percentile needed would be:
IIM A - 99.7+
IIM B - 99.6+
IIM C - 99.6+
FMS - 99.3+
IIM L - 98.7+
IIM K - 98.5+
IIM I - 98+
The no of students falling in one percentile can be calculated by diving the number of candidates appearing by 100. Suppose 2 lakh students appear, then 2000 students fall in one percentile.
Hope this helps. All the best!
