• Go to the GOAPS website portal to make the correction in application form of GATE 2020
• Login to the website by entering the Enrollment number/Email ID and password.
• Now, the candidates can make required changes in the GATE 2019 application form.
• If the candidates want to change the exam centre or subject chosen, they will have to pay fees as prescribed by the exam authorities.
• Finally, click on the submit button.
• You may take a print out of the same for future use.

In order to get IITs you are advised to study really hard in terms gate preparation. IITs are the topmost institutes of India..

For this you have to be in top 500 at least . But it will be more helpful if you go for top 200. This will be more secured for you.

Yes you can change your category in gate 2020 application form. The correction date for category is from last week of October 2019 to 1st week of November 2019.so do it fast otherwise you will not able to change after that.

After logging in with your enrollment ID and password you will see two options

1. Download application
2. Change details

Click on change details.The screen will display the details which you can edit.Click on the box to edit the text, you can edit only minor details like name, father's name etc.If you are not able to change the details clear the cache from your browser and clear history too.Use latest version of chrome and try logging in desktop or PC or try logging in from another desktop.

GATE is an entrance examination for admission to M.Tech Course. So if you fail to clear GATE, then you can try the entrance exam of other colleges for admission to their courses in the institutions like BITS, IIIT Hyderabad, MIT, VIT etc. If not then try for placements in your college or prepare for GATE for the following exam.

Marks and score will keep fluctuating year to year as it depends on various factors like number of candidates appearing and also the paper level,etc.

So I'll give you a rough idea of ranks... And obviously cutoffs for various branches is not going to be same and is going to vary from branch to branch with CS and IT being on the top.

You need to get the rankings as follows if you are a general candidate:

AIR<100 for old iits and AIR<300 For new iits

AIR<for nit trichy,warangal,calicut

AIR<500 for 2nd tier NIT likes rourkela,surat,bhopal

AIR<700 for lower NIT

you can appear in gate exam from any subject. different iits has different rules for subject option. like iit kharagpur does not allow other branches of engineering to do mtech in computer science field. you need to appear in gate from cse paper to do mtech. this is because syllabus is different in different iits. r please check the official websites of iits to know about the eligibility criteria.
