see it depends on how the difficulty level of question in gate 2020. it is really difficult to predict scores because last year cutoff was really high. around 39 point something. that year 85 marks in gate did not get calls from reputed psus. however getting 80+ marks out
In karnataka 3b and 3a are considered as OBC. these are mostly Lingayts and Vokkaligas. how ever central list of obc is different. follow the below link to know your caste as per central wise:

The form dates for filling out GATE form are from August 31 to September 28 with the normal fees. Then with the additional fees of 500, students can also fill the form till October 5.

For Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation etc. cutoff is high, whether for CS, EC it is low. I don't know what is your branch. But hope this will help
