No, U cant take admission on the basis of jee mains marks to get admission in IIST u have to qualify for jee advance and score good marks and rank in jee advance because to get iist your only jee advance marks will be counted

See, if you want to be there at IIST then you just need to secure sufficient marks in JEE Mains. Because they have declared some threshold marks for admission. So you just need to cross that threshold.

All the JEE Advance qualifiers are eligible for the admission in IIST. Only those candidates will be there in rank list who have secured required minimum marks in exam as well as in each section. For General it is 20% of total marks, for OBC it is 18 %of total
i will suggest you to atlesat score 55% in 10+2 to get admission in iist and if score more than this than it is good for you. the chances of admission become higher as you are obc you will definitely get the seat. all the very best/ have a great
