Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University Varanasi
Dear aspirant
IIT BHU CSE would be the best compared to IIT PATNA CSE based on many factors-
1)Coding Culture : The coding culture here(IIT BHU) is just awesome. You can find non cse students coding in a good level. So you can imagine the level of CSE students.
2) Codefest: It is the annual technical fest of IIT BHU which draws the attention of lakhs of people. Students from all over the world compete for solving questions and algos.
3) Senior - Junior Interaction : There is a saying in English that we remember a lot when we do it practically and along with friends. Here the seniors aren't your seniors , they are your friends who guide you in a right manner. You may fear for the professors or you may not understand them but you will definitely understand seniors.
4)Intern Opportunities : Many companies do visit the campus to give interns to students in 3rd year(common everywhere) , but the companies visiting matters. You can find many reputed companies. Many students work for startups taking it as a challenge to develop them. Self development is a lot.
5) Placements : The placements here are quite good (in fact excellent) with average placement package of Rs. 26L/year (excludes foreign placements) . IIT BHU ranked no.1 in GO(Graduation Outcome) by MHRD
6) Allumni base : Being an old institute , it had got a large allumni base with many allumni from different fields.
You may find these common in every college but the quality matters.
It would be wise if IIT-BHU is chosen over IIT PATNA
All the best!!
Hi aspirant, thanks fro your query.
IIT BHU is not the worst IIT. It is the institute of national importance under government ownership. It is on 35th Rank in top universities in India 2019 in careers360 ranking. In engineering ranking by NIRF, it is at 11th rank and overall at 28th rank.

Hello Vishal, You need to produce all the original documents at the time of physical registration in order to get the verification process done. Documents like your 10th and 12th marks card, Your Identity proof, your JEE Main marks card, your school leaving certificate, migration certificate and other documents.
Hello,
Biomedical Engineering at IIT-BHU get placed mainly in software companies like wipro, infosys, accenture ...etc.
Even most of the students irrespective of departments get placement in software mainly because of large companies visiting the campus for placements.
And with respect to your query,if you want to pursue biomedical i.e 5 year course, honestly speaking this branch will disappoint you terribly.
This branch will only be suited for a guy who is ready to be rewarded after a long run. This branch is not given that importance than other branches.
Due to the reason given in first paragraph, students are not willing to go in this field.
But the placements are really good in this branch.
If we rate the placement statistics for this branch out of 5,it can easily be around 4.
Choose wisely!
Never run for a branch whose placements are decent, but many other factors may also be taken into consideration.
Hope you understood!
All the Best!
Regards!

Hi Gokul,
The verification and admission shall be done either on 24th July (Afternoon) or 25th July, 2018 (Forenoon).
You can read the full procedure of admission and all the certificates required at this link: https://www.iitbhu.ac.in/acad/admissions/entrants/instructions
Hope that helps you.
Hello aspirant!!
The placements depends on the individuals not on the college. Though the College gets high paid placements if the student doesn't worth it and doesn't have capability then he/she might not get those top companies. So stop comparing colleges for placements. Improve your skills and knowledge. As both of them are IITs placements will get good. So don't worry. Do hard work as well as smart work.
Good Luck.
I am sorry to inform you that once you have reported at a reporting centre RC of JOSAA counselling for accepting a seat (regular or preparatory) at any of the IITs then you are not allowed to appear in JEE Advanced in the next year. So if you went for counselling and if you withdrew from the seat and did not take admission then also you are not allowed to give JEE Advanced again.
Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
Industrial Chemistry is somewhere between Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry.
Ironically, in IIT BHU, engineering courses in chemistry started under the name of Industrial Chemistry and later the department was renamed to Chemical Engineering and Technology. On the other hand, applied chemistry course was introduced quite later which is now available as a five year course in Industrial Chemistry.(Check out the institute website for more details)
So as you see, it is quite confusing!
Hence let's be practical
Here in IIT BHU, Industrial Chemistry goes with close relationship to Chemical Engineering in terms of opportunities. With more than 90 years of legacy, the alumni base from these departments is huge which itself speaks for placement potential.
If you are not interested in Industrial Chemistry, branch change is an option and is relatively easy in IIT BHU, as compared to other IITs; the only limitation being that you can change among five year courses only.
You can opt for newer IITs, if you expect your desired branch but choose wisely as in my opinion, not all the new IITs are at par with IIT BHU.
Thank You & All the best!
Hii Vishal
It is very good to do ceramic engineering in IIT BHU as the infrastructure, faculties and other facilities are really good.Even the placement is really good at IIT BHU students have been placed at flipkart, capgemini and other companies. So yes doing ceramic engineering in IIT BHU is very good.
Hope the details were helpful
Thank You
